hey guys! i'm not entirely new to the VFR scene, but i've never owned one personally. i'm looking to buy an '01, but recently i've found an rc46 on ebay. it says it's a german version, but basically the same. i'm clueless to jdm or european versions. are they the same bike mechanically? and would it be in my best interest to get the rc46 over an "ordinary" vfr? if the resale of the german version stays higher that would be an ok reason. but if finding parts is a prob(dont see why) then i'll pass. hoping someone can clear up some of the confusion! THANX! -keith

The guy on ebay is on crack. All 98-01 are rc46. Buy from someone that knows what they are talking about.

RC46 was the internal factory code Honda used for the VFR800.

If you look at the chassis #, it will start with RC46.
