I am in Commiefornia at the moment. I almost had a heart attack today. I witnessed an entire herd of VFR's in Vacaville, Nut Tree Parkway, at approx 1530L.

    This herd contained:
    2 red 5th Gen's
    1 yellow 5th Gen
    3 red 4th Gen's
    2 red 6th Gen's
    1 RWB 6th Gen

I almost brought tears to my eyes to see this sight. I was driving & was not able to get my camera out in time to snap a photo. Anyone on the board?

This is the first time I've seen hi-way lane splitting up close. I will admit freely, this made my stomach sink. Even if it was legal, I would never do this. Something about it just doesn't seem right.

The KWRI air show is this weekend so anyone who isn't involved with the air show had to take a KC-10 & leave to make room for all the static display aircraft coming in. Airshows at home station are not fun & I want nothing to do with them.

Nope, not me either. Not aware of a group ride goin on. Must be a bunch of those VFRD folks. I can't imagine a gaggle of VFRs not bein represented on either board.

There's a VFRD Reno meet this weekend but I don't think there were that many in the whole group!

Man, you're at the wrong end of Kali to hang. Too bad. If'n you're board, head to Sactown. There's a really cool train museum and some decent food in the old town area.

If you ever have a layover at VBX (not that anyone comes here), make sure you gimme a heads up.

The lane splitting is pretty silly sometimes. I'll split lanes if traffic is moving at 10 MPH or less, but that's it. I've seen people splitting at 70 MPH plus, and wonder when they are going to be a statistic.

I agree with you 100% LGN. You are a purty fart smeller buddy!

I am impressed that KC took such a good inventory these bikes as to identify them all by color and gen when he just had a glance.

I was following them for the better part of 2 miles so I had a good look at them. Most of them had luggage on board so the Reno meet seems to make sense.

I saw a touring 6th gen today. tricked out with full had bags and several states worth of bugs and dirt. He was eating at a diner here in Susanville with his wife who rode a similarly fashioned KTM. I asked him about his bike, he looked at me crazy(prolly due to my enthusiasm over seeing a VFR in person) and I told him I had a 2000. He seemed unimpressed. So I quietly stared as he rode away. He prolly thought I was a freak.

Well, he has been on the road with his wife for at least several days worth of riding... No telling what his life is like right about now!!! He probably told her how much fun it was going to be, and her opinion may differ...

if you followed them for that long, they must not have been the lane splitters or they'd have been gone. I don't know who the group was but I know that we quite often ride in a 3-4 pack up here in the central coast and all the guys are active board members that I met through the board. I haven't actually met any vfrd guys but tori has met up with a few of them for a ride before...

No, it's because you told him you had a 2000. I swear I've seen Ducati owners that are less snobbish than some 6th gen owners.

    Nuts

Saw a silver viffer today on the back roads between Cobden and Wakefield, Ontario. I was so excited, I stood on the pegs and waved. He/she probably thought I was nuts.
