Hey Troops! I have just aquired my first gen six VFR. Previously started with the '83, then an '86, '91 and a '98. Gotta love the howl of the gear drive cams, but decided to update when I got a deal on a 3000 mile '03 that I couldn't resist. A little personal history (does anyone care??): Fourty one years in the Motorcycle industry, 28 of that split up with three large Honda dealers. Then onto distributors and manufacturers and a short stint as a regional manager with Piaggio (Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa). I have "repped" for nearly every apparel, helmet, tire (etc., etc.) and most other products in the industry through the years. I currently "survive" by restoring vintage Honda motorcycles and do a lot of CB-750's (SOHC & DOHC), Elsinores (all cc's) and Z-50's/CT-70's/XR-75's. Kinda sad that when the economy crashed, my region would no longer supprt a rep on 100% commission, so still doing what I love, just different motorcycle type work. Almost too many years racing to remember; from age 13 to 54 - dirt track (all)/TT, motocross, hare scrambles and enduro's with some dabbling in regional road racing. Involved with my local vintage club and have put on a couple great dual-sport rides through the flint hills of central/eastern Kansas. If you can't tell; it's been a great ride and I am a true Honda enthusiast for sure. Thanks for the great site - RIDE ON VFR World!

Impressive CV ! Why did it take so long for you to login ??

:welcome: to you, as a certified VETERAN rider who started riding in a previous age and acquired knowledge commensurate while probably 90% of riders here have been into it for less than 10 years and have alot of enthusiasm but far less experience.

Experience takes years to accumulate, so my first 2 questions to you would be, what oil should i use, and what tires are best for my VFR, and what sparkplugs are best ?? If anyone can straighten these out scientifikally it might lead to increased peace, harmony and enlightenment on this or any other forum.

I already forgive you, brother, cuz i know any boy frum NWAK has gotta shot and ate lotsa squirrels......while i continue to love and habilitate [ IMG_2307.JPG them until the govrnment stops me with a 9mm from my rogue desires.
