    Hi Guys,

After years of looking I do believe that I have made the discovery that so many of you have already made, that the VFR is the best all around sportbike, period. I just made a killer deal on a silver 2003 fully decked out w/ hardbags, trunk, Heli risers, corbin seat, ect. The only problem is that it happens to be in Tennessee, and I live in Michigan. Normally I would fly down and ride it back, but being Michigan, more winter is yet to come.

This leads me to my question. I was wondering if anyone has ever put a VFR with a Zero Gravity sport touring screen in the back of a Ford Econoline or Chevy Express full size van. I am worried about the bike being too tall to fit through the doors.

More than likely this might be a first, so if anyone happens to know the overall height of a 6th gen with a sport touring screen, I would REALLY appreciate the info.

You guys have a great forum going and it definatly helped me make the final decision to go with a VFR!

    Thanks so much,
    AtomAnt

Also have somebody measure without the screen on...if it's anything like a 5th gen, the screen comes off VERY easily.

My 6th gen. '03 measures approximately 49 inches to the top of the windscreen with the bike standing upright. Fold the mirrors forward and remove the windscreen and it measures approximately 43 inches.

Welcome welcome AtomAnt! Always nice to see new VFR riders and especially those in MICHIGAN!

I see you're in the St. Joseph area. I make it over there a few times a summer to visit the lake, otherwise my riding area is predominantly Kalamazoo, Lansing, Jackson, and Ann Arbor. Maybe we can get a ride going. I'm in touch with a few VFR guys up in Grand Rapids area so a west side of the state gathering may be in order this summer. There are a couple riders between Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit as well but they stick to the "other" forum it seems.
