I have to many toys. I feel bad I have yet to ride the 1986 VFR750 this year. I have had the Magna out a couple dozen times and the VFR1200 out less. Between the 3 bikes, the extra car and the house and wife I have not had the time I want for it. I rode a lot in march and early April but did not get to work on the VFR like I wanted. It was hard for me to wrench when I could ride.

The problem is then I tore down my trans am starting in mid March and did not finish till July 1st. I drove my car a lot because it held parts and tools better. Then For all of July all I wanted to do was drive that. The old VFR has a broken choke cable and it took me a bit to find a new one. It should be here soon but I feel like I am neglecting my toys. I am starting to feel like I should sell one or two to give them the attention they deserve. And I know I will get flamed but chances are the magna would stay in the garage. Sorry to much sentimental value.

I use to ride the old VFR a lot I loved the power and speed. But now with the 1200 is seems so slow I love the size of it so nimble and light weigh. I guess I just need to prioritize what I want.

Anyone else ever have this problem?

My second gen gets the same treatment but would never sell, bike would be gone and money would be shortly as well with nothing to show for it.

I think anyone with more than two bikes will have exactly the same problem. Add in the car, the wife, the kids, the job.... sheesh. It's a wonder any of the bikes gets much time.

I don't have a car that needs attention, nor the kids nor the job. Just the wife (who is very low maintenance) and five bikes - and only two of those have been ridden this year.

I've got 4 bikes along with the wife, kids, house and job. The 1000R sat for the last 3 years, the 750 for the last 6 years and the 500 for the last 4 years. I am just busting them out to get a few hundred miles on each of them. It has never crossed my mind to sell any of them. If you don't need the money out of them, then I'd say keep them. That way they'll be there when you have time down the road.

    as an aside...

The 1200 looks about the same physical size as the 750, yet it appears huge when sitting on its own. Interesting.

I'll probably never own a 1200; but its looks might grow on me... a little... some day ;)
