Just gone to have a thrash on my 2006 vfr and the key will not turn and disengage the steering lock. I have wiggled, wd40'd and oiled. No joy. Any advice will be appreciated, i do not want to buy a new barrel!!

Cheers Jason. I posted on another forum in France and and a bloke advised me to rub a soft pencil on the key after cleaning the barrel with circuit board spray, et voila, it works. I am told it is the graphite in the lead that lubricates.
    All the best Nick
