I know everyone had a great time this week at the VFR G2G so I thought I would start a thread where we can show all those nancys who didn't make it what they missed! LOL! I want stories, pictures, whatever you want to share. I'll get us started later but after 1400 miles it's time for a long shower and a cold beer or three. Can't wait to hear what you have to share!

Kudos to Mo and Bobby @ the Kickstand Lodge. The food was outstanding and the facilities were spotless. Many thanks go out to Sparky and Susie for all their effort and the great breakfasts everyday. It was great to meet everyone from the forum( that did attend) finally and make new friends. We did our best to avoid the rain and made the most of our riding time. The weather however did not dampen the enthusiasum and we hit 28, the Gap, the Skyway and managed a farely dry run up 348. Now if I can just figure out why I can't post my pics.............http://s1012.photobucket.com/albums/af250/ddoria/[/IMG

took the long way home, and found a great new road (to me) along the way. all safe and sound, but tired.

it was great meeting everyone, and finally putting a face to some of those anonymous flickering electrons.

After a few beers and a good night's sleep I figured I'd go ahead and give a shout out to all my VFR g2g people.

rc24rc51: I had a great time on the ride you lead. You did a great job dodging storms and keeping everyone happy. It was like hearding cats and you were up to the task.

Matt: What can you really say to a man who is willing to risk life and limb to stop traffic so the entire group can pull out on to a busy street in the middle of town. LOL! That was some funny shit dude. It was great sitting up till about 2 am drinking beer and swapping lies.

Kd4ysi: Tony you're an extremely helpful guy and I enjoyed listening to your stories. I can't wait to do it again next year.

Switchblade: The ride over the Cherohala Skyway with you and Sparky was the highlight of my trip. I had the most fun running with you guys on that particular ride. I admire a man who is willing to damn near drag his hard bags then let one of those extremely rare Trimph CBR's pass. LOL! You're ok for a fed! hahaha!

Honda Bill and VFRedneckchick: Congratulations again on your wedding anniversary. Meeting the two of you gave me hope that maybe one day I'll meet someone who's shit I can put up with for 20+ years. haha!

Abner Malidy: It was great meeting you. Too bad we only got in the one ride. That is the cleanest fifth gen I've ever seen!

Dan and Bert: I had so much fun riding with the two of you. My hat is off to you guys for riding all the way up from Florida. If I reach the ripe old age of 78 I hope I'm as full of life as Bert. I'm glad the two of you made it up and look forward to doing it again next year.

Mr. and Mrs. Sparky: When I left for this trip I was absolutely sure I'd have a great time but I never dreamed I'd learn so much about riding in such a short amount of time. Enough thanks cannot be given for cooking breakfast, the awards ceremony, and knowledge you passed on to me. I look forward to many more great rides with the two of you!

    MiddleTbabb: Well....You're still a Nancy.

If I left anyone it's not because I didn't have a good time but because of all the short term memory I lost when I was in college. It was a great ride. If anyone is thinking of riding to Deals Gap I highly recommend staying with Mo at the Kick Stand Lodge. The food, people, and facilities are great! Mo works so hard to make sure everyone has a good time and some how makes it look easy! When I go back to ride all those great roads again the only place I'm going to stay is with Mo!

So there it is...good people, good times, and great riding. To all who couldn't make it this year...Hopefully I'll get to meet you next year.

Now if i can figure this out here is a link to the pics I took. http://s1047.photobucket.com/albums/b475/newelldustin/Deals Gap Ride/?albumview=slideshow :cheersaf:

I'm really glad that the southeast posse was able to get together and do this event (enough of those damn cali folk always stealing the ride spotlight). Always great when folks actually get together to meet each other in person. I've made lots of good friends that way. Thanks for sharing the pics comicus. Kudos to all who organized this and made it to the gathering.

Here's a one wheeled salute to the next one!

Hey all you Nancy’s, (756 miles home) My A@@ is still hurting.
We got home about 11a today. We rode all day and into the night and we finally stopped in Gainesville, FL , around 12a for the night. I wanted to thank all of you for making such an impression on Burt, he thinks the world of this group and he cannot wait for next year. Now I have to go clean the bike and see if I can get some of those scratches out of the fairing….lol
    P.S
    We will trailer next year..lol

Good Evening everyone, we made it in a few hours ago & my A** still hurts.
It was great meeting and riding with everyone. Just wish mother nature would have cooperated more for us.
A BIG thanks to Mo & Bobby at KSL for the great hospitality & food that they extended to all of us.
Can't wait until next year, but i think we will be hauling them down then.
