VFR exhaust difference between 2004 and 2006?

Is there a difference, I know mother Honda changed the old PN to the 2006+ one on the 04.

No techical change for the 6th gen only the finish. 2006 to 2009 Brush Stainless.

 

My understanding is that the design of the exhaust is the same for 02-09 but it might be the material it's made from that makes it different. The headers on the 09 are supposedly stainless steel, not sure if that applies to any year prior. I assume that you're looking to replace a component and found something from a different year and want to make sure it'll work?

I put an 04 on my 06 a few years ago with no issues. Cept ......oh never mind. Woiuld have been far to much info.
