Hi all! Just wanted introduce myself, its about 8 months since someone backed over my '01 Kawi ZR7-S in the local grocery store parking lot and I am ever so excited to be back on two wheels! Before that I had an '85 maxim and now I've moved onto riding a 2000 VFR this week (the V4 sounds pretty nice with a staintune exhaust on it) and am doing some exploring. It looks like theres a few bay area riders on this forum and I'm new-ish to the area so if any one has suggestions on favorite rides, please feel free to suggest!
pick a road that goes out of the city....LOL try Skaggs Motorcycle Roads (CA): Skaggs Spring Road or any roads like I said that head out of the bay areaespecialy across the GGB... Welcome to the forum oh yeah keep an eye out for SLO 5 a race odessy.. annual get together at Reg71 place in Atascadero...... Crusty
Welcome aboard. Don't limit yourself to just the Bay Area. California is lousy with VFRWorlders. We have a big get together in San Luis Obispo and San Diego every year. Keep your eyes on this site. There's a ton of good folks here.
Thanks for the welcome guys! The parents are outside glenwood springs these days so the odds are good for some beer and mini-van/soccer mom viewing. As for pics, they'll have to wait until I pick her up next weekend. The new girl is spending the week in a friends Sacramento garage until I arrange for a place to keep her off the street here at home. I've heard too many stories of nasty things happen to bikes parked on the street in this city.
