    Hey Guys,

I just gotten myself an Anniversary Edition VFR800.. i was told it was a 08' model with ABS..

I did some searches online and i found out that the Anniversary Edition was produced in 2007 only.. have i been taken for a ride?

Also, what are the "must" upgrades for this beautiful bike!

Thanks in advance for your help and oh yea.. thanks for taking the time to read my post!

Congrats and welcome aboard!! Here in the U.S. The 2007 year model was the only one produced in the RWB Anniversary paint scheme. The most populars upgrades are Sargent Seat, Bar Risers, throttle lock, factory hard bags, and an aftermarket exhaust to flaunt the V4 sound. What type of riding will you be primarly doing? Do you plan on carrying passengers much?

There is an emblem on the frame just below the tank with the year printed on it that should clear up things a bit. White wheels are a must as well.

Only 2 must upgrades are tires and aftermarket end cans:

Replace the OEM tires especially if they are D204s with Michelin R2s or Pirelli ST Angels or Dunlop RoadSmarts or if you are more into the twisties the Dunlop Q2 Sportsmarts are excellent.

Replaced the standard end cans with Staintunes or similar aftermarket exhausts.

+1 on the dunlop roadsmarts. I have 3400 miles on my set and they are just over half tread depth. Great grip and feel on dry and wet roads. Sport touring trips are what I enjoy and the rear has no squaring off present, the dual compound construction is top notch. No matter what tires you get, check tire pressure weekly. Sport bike tires(fronts especially) love to cup and wear irregularly if given the chance. My front dunlop showed some cupping around 2000 miles, I found the tire pressure to be 2-3 pounds low. I've kept the tires exactly where honda wants them and the cupping is going away.

+1 on the Sargent seat; that is a must buy in my book. Get the exhaust if you want to hear that V4 but don't look for it to improve the performance of the bike alone. In the US the 2007 was the anniversary edition. There should be a sticker on the top of the tank also!

Look at the VIN tag, you'll see the year on there also. Lots of places on the bike to verify :)
