Hi there - I have seen reference to "D" and I think other suffixes like "C" especially in the online parts diagrams for ordering parts. I was wondering what those signified? I have a C in the first part of my VIN JH2 RC1501.....and I wonder if that is how I can tell which version I have? Or perhaps it is country specific code?

My Vf750f Interceptor 1983 is a Canadian version.

If anyone can shed some light on this would be appreciated!
    Cheers

I believe you are referring to a date code.

    Code Year
    Z 1979
    A 1980
    B 1981
    C 1982
    D 1983
    E 1984
    F 1985
    G 1986
    H 1987
    J 1988
    K 1989

The RC15 refers to engine size and model. 700/750 were RC. PC is 500 and SC is 1000. I think they are actually ranges, but you get the point. The numbers are the model code.

An RC15 can be a VF750FD or FE.
