Vf700f Coils

Hello All,
I need to buy some new ignition coils for my '85 VF700F. I have seen some for a VF700C (?) Magna. Is that close enough?

in another posting you say the bike is running, right ? so obviously the coils are working fine........????

nearly all coils on hondas are interchangeable i believe.

 

Thanks, but I have both a 700 and 500. The 500 is running and has the valve choir going on.
The 700 hasn't awakened yet. It's coils didn't test well even though they look great. The muffler had tenants living in it, as did the cubby back by the taillight.
I took a picture of the stuff that came out of the muffler and sent it to the guy who sold it to me. He wrote back and asked, "WTF?! How did that get in there? Who was trying to kill me?" I laughed so hard 'cause I had to put something in the photo to show the scale. The nearest thing I could grab was a 12ga shotgun shell! Poor guy was paranoid out of his mind until I wrote back...

 

^^^^ this is what i shook out of a vfr muffler that spent time in an outdoor shed, not uncommon to see a few nut shells shooting out after storage.

shows mixed nuts typical of mouse diet, squirrels are bigger so excluded. since peanuts are not native here, we can see that someone might have been feeding them.

Yeah, and it could possibly fit into an exhaust. I can see how he would have been suspicious of his ex, or something. Hopefully this thread doesn't give anyone any dumb ideas...
