Looking to replace rather than repair some plastics. Found some on ebay for the VF700, they look like they would fit the VF500. I know they might have stickers or labeled different. I will be painting them. Probably, all red or red, black, and white. Any help always appreciated!

Hello, I have an 86 vf500 and was misisng the front fairing when I bought it. I ordered off of ebay a fairing from an 84 vf700, as it looked close enough. However when I got it home it wouldn't fit. I had to cut off about 3" of the "ears", and under the headlight (chin of fairing) had to cut a big portion out so that it would fit back in place, then a slight trim to the back of the plastic that covers the guages as the windscreen was catching on it. Now it fits nicely, has a bit of custom look to it for anyone that knows their vf's . I think it looks great IMHO. So if you are ebaying for parts that look close or almost right, be away that you may have to modify them to make them work.
