    Hi all.

I bought a VF500F2 a few months ago, mainly to tinker with as i have lots of other bikes to ride.
but the old girl will still be ridden like she was meant to (untill the engine explodes i fear)
but the case is, the stanchions are bent slightly.
I am not shure i want to dump a lot of money into it (already have replaced the shock, so maybe) but can anyone help point me in a direction that could present a price for some straight used or some new stanchions?

    thanks in advance :)

There’s plenty of places that will straighten bent stantions as long as they’re not creased

This is just a random place in the UK, still in the EU at the moment. http://www.pittedforks.co.uk/fork-straightening.php

hey just use a hydraulic press and a flat surface, so you could take it to a local engineering company and see if they’ll do it

I straighten slightly bent forks with some hard wood v-blocks and my hydraulic press using my static wheel balancer to measure run-out. Not a problem. Had some crazy good deals on newer cartridge forks for front end swaps that way.

Have used them in the past for rechroming forks. Get a good write up.

if forks are bent you may have damage on other parts like steering head bearings, wheel bearings, wheel rim.
