VF500f Fuel Tank

Looking for a fuel tank for an 86 vf500. Anyone have one or know where I can get one?

If one is not still available thru service honda or ron ayers, keep an eye out on ebay. I thought I saw one on there in the last few days, but I don't remember for sure. Also, be sure to check our classifieds here. :smile:

 

thanks. anyone know if a tank from another bike might fit well? maybe from another model interceptor?

They will fit from 84-86 vf500 interceptors last I knew they are still availible from Honda dealers but they are like $600. I found one at a bike salvage yard and fixed it up. I also got another with my parts bike that was in pretty good shape. They are out there you might have to do a little work but used is the way to go. also make sure you get the on, off reserve petcock with the tank because different years are different sizes.

 

American Honda has none left. I cleaned them out 2 years ago. I bought 3 new tanks at $483 dollars a piece. I put one my my current 500, another went to a friend and the last one is now in my inventory hoping that I never need it. Your best bet is eBay.
