Would anyone happen to have a good photo of the location of the engine serial number on the VF500F?

    Thx!

Thank you for the post on the engine serial number location.

Crazy question - could you please verify that your '84 has a series of numbers located here? I have a friend checking on this for me - on my '84 which I garage in another location from where I live. He is saying he can't find the numbers - I sent him a copy of the same photo from my Factory Manual but no luck.

Perhaps there is a hose or other line in the way which is obstructing his view?

If you have a chance to take a higher res photo - of the general location - this would be a great help.

    Many thanks!

It's right by the crank case breather. It's possible that a breather hose or the pulser wires are covering it.
