once my bike warms up I get a slight squeak when I let out the clutch? Most of the time it happens when im going from N to 1st but some times i get it in other gears too. Also when I go over bumps I get it is this something I should worry about? it does kinda feel like its slipping but once its locked its locked. Maybe its my clutching technique... I hate to burn out the clutch. Seems to only be happening when its warm.

O by the way do you have to clutch though all gears I at least have to tap it to get it to go up to the next gear is that normal?

it also gets really hot and spits coolant out of the overflow if I ride it hard but I have not even replaced the coolant yet or looked at the thermostat. The fan isnt coming on very often either. The whole system boils unless im going 45+ mph to get airflow though the system. I will take a look at the thermostat and replace the coolant tomorrow.

I don't really know what to say. How old are you? like 10? your going to get yourself killed and it's nobody's fault but your own. It's bad enough to do stupid shit like that it's even worse to come to a respectible place like this and brag about it. You talk about respect for riders. By doing stuff like this you are disrespecting us big time. It gives us all a bad name, now the police in your area are going to be looking at all bikers differently because of what you did.

How does eveyone else feel about this? speak up cause if we don't he will never learn anything until it's to late.

Trust me kid I used to be alot like you I just got lucky and lived through it, most aren't so lucky.

that was a good flame. Anyway I replaced the coolant and changed the oil im starting to think the squeaking is coming from the chain or frame somewhere but I can only get it to squeak when I hit a bump or accel or decel quickly. Im also thinking about running a manual fan switch since its not coming on when it should.

Sport bikers in my area are all sqids 1 out of 100 wear gear and they are all on new bikes but they do respect the law and go at least the speed limit. There is so much hate though for bikers in my area im constantly geting shit thrown at me and people yelling shit ive even have a few guys try to smash me off the road. When ever im at the pump people try to fight me well 1/2 the time. Girls like them but thats because they are hoes and thats it. I will continue to ride agressively for my own safety. It may sound unbelieveable and my idea of being a motorcyclist is completely different then I had imagined. I dont know how it is for you guys. I thought people would have respect for my chosen mode of transportion but no that just isnt the case. Instead 70% of people hate me 20% of people dont see me and the other 10% respect me.

Maybe im just a dick. I project hate into people im sure. The vf500 is a sweet little bike. I really enjoy riding it. Like any person on a motorcycle the throttle tuants you and just when you feel the bike running perfect all the power it has you must go fast or learn restraint. More cure the itch early on and 10 close calls later. That was my first time lane spliting and it happened to be past a cop go figure. Ive said im going to slow down before I lied. I dont know if I will make it and im sure I wont take anyone with me when I do down. The only thing I can do is try to remeber what experienced riders have tought me. I hope to live and keep my bike away from the cops.

hopefully I can find out what the hell that squeaking is.

Sounds like your rear shock pro-linkage needs greasing . . .

it could be the rear shock but it only happens when im in gear its the wierd thing. I am ganna let it squeak for a little while longer. I hit a bump really hard and it seemed to go away a little. Minor problem its just annoying.
