Hi Gang, I posted a while back asking about possible risk to the engine associated with riding with noisy CCTs and got no responses, but the bottom line is that I probably need to replace or fix mine for peace of mind. So, I am looking for help with that process and have some specific questions: 1. Does the engine have to come out of the frame to replace the CCTs? 2. How do I definitively diagnose the need for CCT replacement? 3.Where can I find detailed info on how to replace the CCTs without pulling the heads as shown in FSM? 4. Where can necessary new parts be found? 5. Is it usually possible to repair rather than replace the old CCTs and if so how does one do so?
