VF500 Crate Motor

Hello everyone,

I've talked with someone selling a crate motor - probably shipped to a dealer for failing crankshaft warranty replacements in 1984. Unfortunately, it has been sitting outdoors in a harsh winter environment for an extended period of time.

I expect it's just a matter of time before I'll need parts for my VF500. Do any of you have an idea what the condition of the internals could be or how much effort would be required to restore them?

I've only seen the images but yes, it appears that way to me.

 

I do have an idea what condition everything will be in. Shit. If someone wanted to GIVE it to me I would remove what little remains of that poor blue tarp and I would put it in my yard exactly as it sits in that pic. Other than that I don't know if I could stop laughing at them.
