I'm posting this to make an easier find for the solution, as I searched, and it took me quite a bit of time to fins a good solution. I have a problem with the dreaded Clutch Pushrod Oil Seal leak. I plan to try the "O-Ring" alternative fix listed here: Clutch - SabMagFAQ and see how it works out, to keep from having to split the case, since I just got it all back together Saturday! The method I plan to try is the "Yet another Alternative". If that doesn't work out for me, I will try the first method. Funny thing is, I wqas trying to think of how I could possibly use an o-ring to seal it up, but never did think of this one on my own!
Quick update, the o-ring inside the seal did the trick! It was a small o-ring that would barely go over the clutch pushrod (REALLY tight fit) and I just used a small flathead screwdriver the push it past the first lip of the seal. Now it seem that I have a minor leak from the oil fill plug. There's no gasket or o-ring on it. I suppose I should check out what it should have there! LOL
