vf500 carb floats interchangeable?

    Are the floats from 84-85 carbs interchangeable with the 86 carbs? My 86 floats appear pretty chewed up. Got a set of 84-85 carbs and the floats look the same and are in great shape. I looked up part numbers and they are different but they sure look the same...

    If the OEM part numbers are different you can bet that they are not the same. This said, I am not sure what the difference is...
