Yes they are fiber glass. As far as money it depends on it's condition and whether it's stock paint or not. How about a pic of them?

It has some marks the red has been repainted and then someone took the Honda decals off and scratched the red paint up.the windshield is pretty nice iwas thinking about taking it to the local body shop to get it fixed up but it all depends what it's worth here in Canada those bikes are pretty rare.or someone said keep it and get the rest of the parts needed to mount it to one of my 1984 vf1000 to make a clone

I put a 1000r fairing on my 750 about two years ago. The windscreen was all messed up w/over spray and scratches. It took medium cut rubbing compound, then mothers mag polish and then carnuba wax mixture (Liquid Luster) to it.

I had a small carpet roll to put it on cause of the curve. It came out like new! I had special stuff to glue the crack, I was still there but solid now.

I bought a stock one as a replacement. Didn't really need it after I was done polishing. It only took about 2 hours to do. So try it yourself and save some $$$.

Wow, 1000 fairing on a 750. I probably would not have thought to do that myself, but looks nice.

If it's overall 90%, the complete kit of fairings could go for $1K US or so. If the fiberglass is 100% and it's just paint they should fetch $500-$600. Problem is people drop the bike and the mirrors crack the fairing around the mounts, tough to repair and look original.

Repairs to "fiberglass" fairings is much different than repairing ABS.. Cracks like that are first repaired from the inside and the cosmetics (outside) are done. Best deal? Buy a book and RTFM. I use a company called System 3. In Kent, Washington The owner is a Chem E and is supplier to most of the folks who build racing sculls.

Build up on the inside of a fairing or other can be minimized by using triaxial cloth and painting the entire inside of the fairing or other a matte of flat black.

Making the outside of such a fairing look really "original" as far as paintwork is concerned is going to be a bitch for all the reasons given for the same "matching" on ABS.

ya this fiberglass is mint and there are numbers stamped on the inside of each piece and they all match I don't know what they mean but if I knew it would be worth a lot more money if the red paint was fixed I would have it painted.

If I was going to repaint my R, I'd have this guy do it. Think he's in Oregon or Wash, we ballparked some pricing over email, it isn't cheap but looks like quality work.

Trying to match the red on your fairing is not going to work out for half a dozen reasons. The paintjob by the guy in Spokane is first class work. My guess is about a grand USD for high quality work like that.

An alternative would be depending on how good the white and blue area are to repair the damage and repaint only the red areas. This, if done by a pro could be done in lacquer.

Graphic unless you have to have OEM replication are oot three in spades.

You could maybe cover up the damage to the red area with some graphics.
