Hi all. Back to the forum after 5 years. My VF is still sitting in my garage for almost 13 years. I would like to start with restoration and wonder if anyone can recommend a person or a body shop in Los Angeles area who can fix the fairing and a dent on the gas tank and paint the entire bike to spec. Alternatively, can i still get new fairing and gas tank somewhere?

    ThanX, Yuki

Try your local Honda Dealership and see if they have a "guy" who does bodywork. I've also had luck going around to local body shops and seeing if any of those guys do side work. Be careful though, sometimes you get a hack so be cautious.

Thank U both. Larry, the French fairing is injection molded PP, or, the same type of fiberglass?

I would try to find a shop that specializes in custom work. The shop that I take all of my bike parts to only does custom paint for cars, boats, bikes, etc.

Don't know if poly26 is poly or fiber. COntact them and ask.

Or take your fairings to a corvette shop and they will know how to repair fiberglass.
