I am finishing up a light restoration and major detail on my 86 VF1000R and have some decals to put on but I am not sure of the exact locations. If someone could assist with pics or give me the locations, I would certainly appreciate the info.

    Decals in question:
Warning label for safety and stability, etc...
    Exhaust system label
Remember always wear a helmet etc...
TRAC (one on left front fork but are there others?)
Cam Gear Drive (one on each mesh side cover but are there any others - I have two sets, one black and one white)
Battery info label (apparently there is supposed to be a plastic mount for this near the battery but my bike does not have one - ??, not sure)

I would appreciate photos if possible (cbxjohn@cox.net) website http://www.cbxjohn.com

    Hi CBXJohn

I should start by extending a warm Welcome to the MadHouse.:welcome:

I hope some of VF1000 owners on here will be able to post up some photos showing their bikes which will allow you to work out where those decals are fitted when the bikes left the factory.

To stir things up, you may also want to put your message on the 1st/2nd gen sub-forum on here, as they may get missed in the general discussions forum. Another option would be to PM some of the VF1000 owners direct - if you click on the photos and then search for VF1000 you should find pictures from a few owners on here.

I can see from your website that you have undertaken some serious restorations - those bikes look amazing.

    Take care

Thanks for getting back to me. I will research the photos as you have suggested. trying to learn this site as it is different than some of the bike club sites that I have been on.
