So , I am working on my 84 Interceptor 1000. While it is nice, there are things that I need to do to feel save riding a 27 year old bike . As I am going through it, I realized that a lot of the parts are exactly the same as my 84 cb700.

The front wheel is identical, the brake and clutch master cyl are identical. The brake calipers are cosmetically different, but they seem to be identical mechanically. The forks look really similar.

So my question....Since I have already rebuilt my front calipers and forks for the NH, what do you think about using them on the VF1000...just until I rebuild the ones that are on there?

I would bet the calipers on the 1000 have larger pistons.
    And I don't think the CB700 has 41mm forks.
