Hey guys, the set of old carbs I took off the VF100oR I just did look different to the other 4 sets for VF1000R carbs I've taken off the otherVF1000R bikes. Im wondering if they are "F" carbs. Can you identify them ??

The main difference is that the 4 sets of R carbs I have all have the carb bodies that attach via a bolt and tab, and they have what ill call a mental lug and tab setup swell, all to join and space the carbs properly. These other carbs I took off dont have that.

There are no broken tabs or lugs on these mystery carbs.

The numbers stamped into the carbs are also different

I have 2 sets of carbs here for comparison

First the known "R" carbs showing the bolted carb bodies, second the mystery carbs

Another view of the inboard lug and tab. first pic is the "R" carbs see the tab and lug stop directly below the fuel line, second pic the mystery carbs, no tab & lug:

Next the numbers stamped into the carb bodies
R carbs first start with "85", mystery carbs second starts with "82"

What do I have here "F" Carbs ?

Since these mystery carbs are from the bike I just did and the bike came with a restored set of "R" carbs from Bill's, my suspicion is that a PO send the originals to billy's to be re-done and dropped a set of "F" carbs in in the mean-time and never got round to swapping the R's back in.
