If you jump the fuel pump and charge the fuel system it should fire up with no problems.

I ended up hitting it with a little starter fluid ( before reading this) and it started to idle (slow & low-for 10 seconds) but only from the ether. Then quit. (has new plugs-btw)
A charged up pressure to the fuel system ?... then maybe I need to do that? Any chance u can explain this jump procedure?
hey..and thanks for the advice Toe Cutter.

Pulled carbs... 2 float needles stuck down. Starter jets clogged. Don't seem to wanna budge on clearing out either. Using carb cleaner & needle (lightly) Like a rock inside. Guess new parts? Bleh...but still excited to get er running.

Ok...no sh#t there are SCREENS in the idle jets. You can see right through the jet (perfect circular holes) and there is a honeycomb looking screen halfway down, exactly in the same place on all 4 jets. They ALL look the same ( in the light) . Anyone ever hear of this kind of jet?

I know I am not crazy...well...not in this kind of crazy anyway.Thoughts?
