has anybody changed the intake for the vf engine.

im thinking of using one in a rigid chop frame so could do without the airbox, i was thinking about pod filters, has anybody used them and how did you fit them as the bottom of teh airbox fits in a matter that it holds the carbs together and the carb ends arent round

the only other thing i could think was to make a manifold and mount something like an SU carb

What exactly do you mean by "intake"? Are you talking about alternative carb setups?

so no not neccasarily just alternative carb set up... more along the idea of ditching the airbox. so that it looks clean in a frame where there will be no tank that will hide a great big airbox.

has anybody here put pod filters on?

i think an SU carb either side of the head would work best

I've done it. I run pods off the stock carbs. Couple pics in my galley and "Tinman Tinkers" post.
