vavle adjustment

does anyone know when the vavles should be adjusted...my bike has 50k on it but i got it when it had 43k on it. it runs fine but anyone know signs of when they need adjusting?

If you are unsure of your bike's history I would recommend inspecting the valves now. It is a very important part of maintaining a VF500F.

 

you probably should check them to see where there are now. Best to lash them a loose .005". Tight lash of .005" or less doesn't help the cam wear for these particular engines.
