Valve Check 99 5th Gen (no Vtec)

Hey everyone I got a question again about Valve Checks! On my 99 5th Gen (no VTec) I bought the bike with 24000 Km on it the manual says to check it at 25000 then after that it doesn't say what the intervals are after that! The former owner realiy took care of the bike so I imagine he did a valve check just before trading it in! As for the bike it runs perfect no weird noises it runs smooth, it does have that ticking noise which is just nature of the beast! Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!!

 

My '99 owner's manual says inspect at 16,000 miles. I figure on checking at every 16,000 after that.

 

Thanks guys this is why I like this site, I figure the valves have been done at 24000 to 25 because the bike has ran just smoothly since I got it! But just to be on the safe side I'm going to my dealer tomorrow to see if they can hook me up with the former owners number! So with that I can ask him when they we're last done or checked to be sure!
