I bought my 97 vfr at the end of september, so I got some riding in last year. It's in good shape but I want to take it in to the shop to have a tune-up done this winter. Just an overall check-up to have it all dialed in and ready to ride. It has 38000 so i'd like to have the valves checked, have the carbs synched. Are these performed and what else is included in a typical shop tune-up? also what can i expect to pay.Maybe someone in oregon will read this and have some feedback on beaverton honda. I basically want to get most of the stuff done that is beyond my mechanical capabilities all at once while it's in the shop. anything else i should consider doing. one can ride almost all year here in the pacific northwest except for a few weeks of winter. just got to make sure you don't venture up too high in elevation. I just got the aerostich electric vest wired up. nice and toasty. looking forward to putting some miles on this bike on '07. my 81 bmw 650 compared to the vfr was like a VW to a ferrari. everything is 10X more smooth and responsive.

Basiclly what RW said, you can also get a dyno run to see how it worked out. the cool thing is they have the best of the best in a VFR guy :)
