The sprocket ratios for my restored V45 are 17/44. An 18 front and 42 rear are available. Thinking of changing one or the other but not both to get the freeway rpm's a bit lower than the 5200 rpm rate at 70 mph indicated. The engine feels like it has enough torque to handle a bit higher ratio. Anyone tried this with an older or slightly newer model?

JT Sprocket has a chart for all the combinations for the VF750F. I am very close to getting mine back on the road, but I remember it pulling like a truck from 1000 RPM to 10K RPM, with no surge. Lower RPM at 70 means less acceleration, I would try and get use to it first, but then front sprockets are fairly cheap.
