Just in case others encounter this. Many, like myself, have installed the PCV on older bikes, mine is a 2003. Works fine. But obviously you want to use the PCIII maps (potentially) as we have the older ECU with older VTEC engagement points, etc. So PCV software has a feature to import the PCIII maps.......no problem.

But, I found that the maps for VFR800, typically have ignition in them (maps 000, 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, etc). For example, I wanted the Two Brothers map, as I have a TBR exhaust. When you load the map, it has an ignition module section. Problem though is:

There is no ignition module for PCV and they no longer make the ignition module for PCIII.

So trying to "Send" this map to your bike will result in an error. And trying to click on the "Ignition" section will result in an error, and trying to save the map in PCV format will result in error. This is using the latest 1.0.6.4 PCV software as well as the latest firmware (you don't even need the PCV to be connected to experience this error, Dynojet support confirmed with me on the phone they got this error too).

Actual Error I get is "Access Violation at address 004AC086 in module 'PC5ControlCenter.exe'. Read of address 0000000C."

So what you do is just click on the Fuel map, select all, copy, and then paste it into any PCV map (to overwrite the fuel settings) and your good to go.

If anyone has any additional information on this please post here.

Yes that is not compatible with the version of PCV for VFR800 (what they told me).

It sound to me - a perspective PC buyer, that we would be best just going with a PCIII for an 02?!?

There is no benefit that I am aware of of using the PCIII over the PCV, the cost is about the same, PCV comes with O2 eliminators, and can run PCIII maps.......
