I Noticed your 99 vfr has a sargeant seat. How did you get the rear cowl to fit? I thought that substituting the stock seat with a custom seat makes using the cowl impossible. Please clarify if possible. thx.

(p.s. I'm seriouslyl considering buying a sargeant seat. could you recommend the best fit for my 2001 vfr?)
    thx

I just take off the rear section of the sargent on mine. on the 5th gen, the world sport comes in two pieces. it gives you more storage, but no passenger capabilities without carrying the seat along in a bag or something.

On the 5g, the rear seat is a separate part and the cowl won't fit with it installed. Remove the seat and install the cowl.

People rave about the Sargent seat, everyone I've talked to about them love them. They don't make one for my '94, but they will rebuild my seat; they call it a custom build.

I know this won't sound right but the Sargent stays very secure with just the cowl, I used under the cowl for storage, it use to hold my camera, sweatshirts and registration/insurance cards. I love the way the VFR looks with the cowl, but I think my cowl days are almost over, I just bought a perfect tail bag because it seemed like I was always needing a little extra room and taking the cowl off was a pain.

Your bike and mine use the same 2 piece Sargent, it is $ 316.00 USD with free shipping, diffently one of my best purchases. It took me one day to buy one after my 16 hour, 850 mile trip from S.F. to Seattle. I will be a Sargent man no matter what bike I own...
