Best way IMO, to check is to look up how much the adapters for the other bike wheels cost or Email them about the "typo."

For the DIY'ers the screw type bead breakers are handy to have along with tire irons (spoons) .

Yep, a buck and half + S&H. Just going by your header, "typo or not."

This is one of those subjects that goes on and on and on with very little balance IMO..

"quality tools at the lowest price" is already a typo in itself. Harbor tool quality is crap.

Thanks for your opinion. Since you feel that way don't post and it will die off. It was posted for people who may be interested in saving some money. I have found that at times HF will put very very low prices on the online store to get inventory low. Many people here are DIY and since I use this part with the HF balance stand with success.. I thought I would share.
This wasn't a thread to discuss the quality or lack of for HF tools.

I think some of the things I have heard about this site as of late may sadly be true.

Whether or not the HF wheel balancer itself is junk is totally regardless. All that the VFR adapter consists of is a block of machined steel. It isn't something that can break or something that can go wrong with it. It is a steal at that price and if I balanced my own tires I would snarf that up in a heartbeat.

The guy that does my tires is very cheap and it would take me several years of tires just to get my money back for buying the tools. Watching him do it for less than ten minutes and forking over the few extra bucks is easier for me and not worth the hour or so it would take me to do it. Great buy for someone that does or wants to do their own balancing. Sweet find BP.

Did you ever find out if that buck and a half was the correct price on those collets or if HF's inventory was low in case there is a run? For that price, a real sharpie could buy up all they had and become the Donald Trump of wheel balancing.
