So I got this slip on off of ebay and the mounting bracket that pulls the muffler mid pipe to the collector box seems to not want to meet down far enough for the stock bolts to fit. I will attach pics so everybody can see what I mean. The stock muffler has a clamp that meets right at the collector box and allows the bolts with expansion springs to thread in pretty easily. The new two bros system has a fat flange that doestn travel far enough down the muffler mid pipe to get the bolts started in the stock collector box. Do I need to get new bolts or is there something I'm missing in getting these two to mate up? First pic is the two bros with flange. Second pic is the stock muffler with bolts removed.

Something seems wrong with that pipe to me. Where'd you get the pipe?

I've had a couple of pipes like this, you simply need to buy longer bolts with springs to slide over them. I couldn't tell you the exact size.

Also, it's weird how those little bracket bits on the pipes itself are pointing the wrong way, it's almost as though the link pipe was made up by someone. What size inlet is on the 2bros? 2"?

The pipe wasn't oriented the right way when I put it up in the picture. I was just trying to show the gap. Yeah it looks like some longer bolts are the way it should attach to the collector box. I just didn't know if the system was supposed to come with those longer bolts.

If all else fails, reuse the muffler bracket from the OEM pipe as it kinda surrounds the connection and goes on further.

I thought of doing that but I didn't want to have to cut up the stock muffler to do it. The good thing about where I live is that I'm only about 15 min away from two bros racing so I can stop by and see what hardware they have to fit it.
