I just picked up an 03 and rode it home no issues. I had to swap out the license plate and it had the LED plate bolts. Pulled them as they were just twisted together, put the plate on and used spade connectors. I will admit, the first time I tested them I had them backwards, maybe this has something to do with it, IDK.

Now, when I start the bike I have no rear signals and enfronts are on like running lights until I hit the switch and then front goes out completely and the rear does nothing.

My first post here, I did use the search but didn't find anything specific to this issue and I did take the switch apart to clean but no change of the bike.

I don't have a manual, I did order one but please any help to figure this out would be great.

Here's a link to a pdf service manual for your bike.

Do you have LED bulbs in the turn signals? If so maybe you have the power and earth connectors swapped?

Your front turn signals should be on as running lights all the time except when you use the indicator switch, then running lights drop out and the brighter filaments should flash for whichever side you have chosen. The running lights and the blinkers are on different fuses, so my guess is that maybe you've just popped a fuse when you were working on the license plate light? Do your brake lights and horn still work (they're on the same fuse as the blinkers)?

I checked all of the fuses and they tested to be operational. I had to swap the license plate and the bolts have the LEDs in them to light up the plate. Previous owner had hacked it up.

I found three relays under the windscreen and a fuse block on the bikes right side (brake lever side of the bike), fuses checked out and I have tested the relays yet.

I ordered a manual but any help as to what the relays are would be great, thanks!

Sorry, no the horn doesn't work and oddly, the brake light only works with the rear brake switch but not the front brake lever.

Might be time to start tracing the power feed from the battery/fuses to the bar switch then the flasher relay. If you hook a multimeter or test light to the battery negative, then with the ignition on start probing with the other lead, you should be able to find whether you're getting 12v along the path; I'd start at the fuses (especially B) and go from there. Looks like the black/brown wire is the positive feed from the fuse to the flasher relay, grey is the flashing feed from the relay to the bar switch, then orange or light blue (L or R) goes from there to the bulbs.

If your brake light works from the pedal but not the bar, the brake light microswitch might be disconnected or if you have adjustable aftermarket levers, they might not be moving the switch far enough to engage, or the switch might be dead. You should hear an audible click from the switch, and you can test the continuity through it. One of the wires at the microswitch should have 12v, the other is an earth, but they're not colour coded.
