On occassion the bike will be stuck in second when attempting to upshift to 3rd unless I pull the clutch in all the way. It doesn't seem to happen during any particular type of riding be it high revving or just cruising leisurely. The bik only has 6K miles on the clock.

    What could this be from?

There's no grinding noise or anything like that.

Thanks in advance for weighing in.

Sounds stupid but a fresh oil change may help. Mine is better with age but could notice the poor shifting with need of a service.

" unless I pull the clutch in all the way."

So pull the clutch in; why wouldn't you, since that might be the problem ??

Bikes break in too. Have had numerous ones that were tight and after a few thousand miles, they shifted like butta
