I have been looking for a trailer restraint system for several month.

I am close to placing an order with "pitbull" for their trailer restraint system (based on rear axle immobilization instead of the tie-downs that compress the suspension and can cause abrasion to the fairing finish).

My trailer deck is only 48 inches wide . . . and I don't want to have to buy another trailer, but my tie-downs rub against the fairing enough that, after just a few trailer-trips, the finish on the plastic is showing signs of wear.

Does anybody have any experience with the "pitbull" restraint system . . . or does anyone have any other tips on trailer restraint?
    Help!

Have you tried using "Canyon Dancers" on your handlebars to avoid the "scuffing" on the fairing from the tie-downs?
