For general info ..... Ran into this new law (at least new to me). I guess since last September it is legal in Washington to wait one light cycle and then safely proceed (if it's one of those triggered lights :)

I've attached a copy of the law for your perusal.... enjoy :lever:

MN has a law like that too. You won't see me spending money for one of those magnet units.

Reg, i believe that is legal,.... as long as your U-turn isn't in a buisness district. Can you believe i got a ticket once for a u-turn. This is how i know that f*#@ing law!

But,....while we are on this subject,... i've always wanted to ask if anyone knew why i have a small supermagnet on the bottom of my front fairing (on the belly pan 1/2"x 3")

This was there when i bought the bike, and didnt know if it was a common trick to either catch road debris kicked up from the front tire (in an effort to catch things before the punctured the rear tire) or help trigger the metal dector type traffic light trigger system.

I put one on my bike too. It helps trigger the traffic light. Out bikes don't have enough metal on them to trigger the mechanism for the traffice lights. It works pretty good.

I found it on the back of Backroads Magazine, it was called "green light". I think it was $7.99. It went on with a few plastic ties. Or you can check out www.JPcycles.com
