Another passion in my life is RC Airplanes, and a club I belong to is having a Turkey fly to help Toys for Tots. So if you are out and about why not bring a toy and help out. Another bonus is since it is an outdoor event if you bring a toy with you on your bike ride you will not have to strip off your gear to eat. If you decide to come by car there is an enclosed shelter to get out of the weather. (Some cooks wear shorts inside). Also have a fire pit outside. And get a chance to fly a RC Plane for a bit. So if looking for something to do come on out to Hamburg, NY and support the Toys of Tots, and who knows you may have a great time. PM if wish more details. "This coming Saturday Nov. 28th R/C Aircrafters will be hosting our 5th annual Turkey Fly, but this year we are supporting TOYS FOR TOTS to help needy kids. The Marines will be attending, and TV stations have been contacted. SPECTATORS who come out and donate a toy will receive lunch and if they want to, we will take them up with a trainer. Every year we have allot of fun, this year we want to share it and help the needy kids have a happy Christmas. I hope to see you there!" Toy pick up Finding out some people can not make it out on Saturday but still wish to donate. Since this is a great cause if you would like to still donate Iam thinking of meeting @ Jim's Truck Stop at 8pm if any one would like to drop off a toy or 2. Other arrangements can be made also. So post or PM me your suggestion. Maybe if someone is coming from 75 miles out they may be able to pick up other toys on the way in. Just a thought richie
