Hey guys, Tori, Brian and I went on the toy run again last Sunday. I only was able to get one photo from the ones I took. I'll paraphrase the day and maybe Tori and Brian will have some stuff to add along with more pics.

Left around 8 am temp 29ish. Here's my only pic:

As you can see even that pic was blurry. I think I was shakin too much. Anyway, I cruised down to AG stopped at a starbux for defronsting my fingertips. (think I'll be adding grip warmers soon) figured out how to carry coffee to Tori's without spilling. Hung out at Tori's for 1/2 hour waiting for (I'm on my way out the door)Brian who brought along Allison. Tori's sig other declined invite. Mine says 'too cold'. On bikes, 3 amigos ride again.

Avila beach, we come in from the far side and slowly cruise through the sea of Harley's and then park blocking a few of them in and proceed to gawk for a bit.

(they'll insert some pics here I think)

10:00ish. call my so. she'll meet on corner that bikes will be going by and ride part of trip.

1030 riders depart. usualy lollygaggin pace. takin it easy ownin the road. cars actually noticing since we are riding with group whose decibel levels are approaching = to jackhammers.

11:15 in Atown pickup Terri on corner who promptly states "let me tell you I didn't feel at ALL like ahooker standing on the corner". The fact that she was standing on the corner holding a helmet while several hundred bikers cruised by led to some pretty interesting offers before my part of the group made it to her. Anyway, she's onboard, now Tori becomes 5th wheel.

Ride to Creston. Drop off toys and head out for some sport bike fun leaving the chromers behind to drink and make merry waiting for cold tritip. 229 here we come...

To Margarita -> lunch. Break up until next time.

    Good times.

Later to note: at work get report we had biker in from toy run. I state I was on toy run. Don't recall anyone down. Apparently someone on 700lbs of chrome decided to blast into twisties just about a mile from my house. Not enough lean angle to take it, off he goes. Novelty half shell doesn't cut the mustard. Hangs on a day. Dead now. Must have been behind us. Too bad. Put's blemish on otherwise good trip.

not sure what to say. I feel bad, but at the same time, I'm a little ticked at him for trying to go fast in a group ride and wearing piss poor gear. and doing what I do for a living I realize he is probably better off dead than he would have been if he had lived (because of the poor gear). Full face helmet and he probably would have had some scrapes and a few breaks but still ok. oh well, I guess it's the same story, different players.

I heard there was an accident, but didn't know the guy died. Makes me want to go out and buy my brother a full face helmet for xmas. He's another one of those idiots wearing a light-armored yarmulke.

Bummed I had to flake at the last minute The last time my mom asked to be flown somewhere was 12 years ago after my niece was born. So when she asked Saturday afternoon I couldn't say no to the request. She had to get to Sacramento and back in a half day and I was her only hope. :)

Even got photo evidence to prove it to my sibs. She knows how to wear headphones, just didn't want to mess up her hair.

That sucks that a toy run had to be marred by a fatality. You're right about the brain pan, though.

I find it Interesting it was 29. Yep Brr, now all you need is a little rain to make Snow. So I take it there was a site to see your significant other get on, as wasn't there a toy to untie then get on and hang on too? something I can only imagine in what that must of been like with all the bikes are going by LOL. Good times, No? Man hate to hear that a rider goes down, but to die too. Wow guess one less in the not so brite gene pool.

In my haste to get the message up, I neglected to mention the temp changes as the day went on. In AG it was already in the 40s. By the time we made it to Avila the temp had already gotten close to the 60s I think so it was warm by the time I picked up Terri in Atascadero. I swapped the toy over to Brian's bike which looked akin to a winnebago with all the luggage he has added now. She actually was on the bike with me and the light was red when I pulled up so I didn't even lose a postion in the line and we were back on the road.
