Well, I just got back from 1.5 weeks and about 2500 miles on the VFR. Riding every day, from 5-10 hours, usually between 2 and 500 miles a day. I was riding with my dad and two uncles, all of whic have Harleys. We rode from Rhode Island to Vermont, then through maine, then into New Brunswick, then into Nova Scotia, then back into New Brunswick, then into Quebec, then through NB, back into Maine, to New Hampshire, then back to RI. We camped the entire way in parks and campgrounds, and only got caught in ONE terrible downpour. After that experience, I can say this, the VFR may be a sport tourer, but try riding 10 hours on its back, and you will not feel like touring much longer. It does its job though, and with a tank bag to lay on and a crampbuster on your throttle, you can ride for a long time. It IS however stil la great sportbike even with a tankbag and luggagelocker seat sack elite on there. I will post some pics in my profile, but if you EVER get the chance, travel to Nova Scotia, to Cape Bretton, and ride the CABOT TRAIL. CABOT TRAIL: This road is the berries. I mean it is incredible. Windy like nobodys business, very few cars, and nice tar. It has hairpins, hard fast turns, hill climbs and descents. It has it all. Just watch out for the moose. The best thing is, I am pretty sure speed limits, though posted, mean approximately nothing in Nova Scotia. I only saw one LEO, and I passed him doing 80 mph in a 80 KPH zone, and he didnt care. Which means, have fun in the curves, just be safe. I had that bike leaned all the way over, knee almost on the ground around a few of those, I took a video too, although I am not sure you can upload those here. I have never been to the dragon, but I have been around a bit, and let me tell you, if this isnt one of the most fun racetracks, i mean roads  , you have EVER been on, then im a monkey's uncle. Go here. Ride it. Love it. CLUTCH: Word to the wise, when 1500 miles from home, in French speaking Quebec, after riding 7 hours in 100 degree heat, dont abuse your bike while the Harleys are resting. I did power wheelies up an down the highway three times before I welded the clutch together . The bike no longer shifted, the clutch lever was useless. I pushed it into a supermarket parking lot where some SAINTLY ANGEL WOMAN  saw me looking at the phonebook for a honda dealer. She comes up, asks if I want a honda shop (in english even) I tell her my deal, now mind you this is 4:45 on a friday afternoon. She gets on her cell phone, talks fast french for 2 minutes, and bang. Turns out she is a friend of the shop owner. They come get the bike and me, by 9:30 saturday morning, there is a BRAND NEW clutch in my bike, they changed the oil, cleaned and lubed my chain, and COVERED IT ALL under warrantee!! (bike is an 07). I was back on my way. Long story short, it was an incredible trip. The VFR performed terrific. The highways in Canada were just made for speed. The only problem is, they have such a short window of opportunity to work on the roads up there between winters, that ALL roads are under construction in one form or another. Anyway, it was an amazing trip! I will post pics maybe tonight. And I will never fear a long ride on the VFR from now on!
