I have a 2003 VFR800 with Givi PLXR side rack (quick release) and V35 cases, love them!

I am looking at adding a V46 top case, and trying to decide if I should go with the Givi FZ166 top rack with M5 plate, or use the SW-MOTECH system. The SW-MOTECH looks to be more expensive, but it appears it may be "quick release", and have some nicer profile to it once the case is removed. Anyone have any experience in this area? I wish GIVI made a top case rack that was quick release like the PLXR side racks, as I only use the cases when I am in touring mode.

I went with the SW-MOTECH top rack. I think it looks better, and its quick release and has a nice profile to it. I just have to find some longer bolts, as the PLXR side cases from Givi add more width to the grab handle connection points for the top case. The quality of the SW-MOTECH is impressive, looks like it could have been built by Givi its so nice. I will post up some pics once I get it all hooked up.

You can't go wrong with Givi, especially for function, but for design I debated and decided to go with the SW-MOTECH.
