Anyone have a tried and tested source for a top end rebuild kit for an 85 VF700? Pistons/rings/wrist pins/clips/gaskets all packaged up?

How many miles is it ?? And why do you think a rebuild on it is necessary ? Offhand, i'm guessing few of the parts are available at all, certainly not in a kit. That's how your Honda motorcycle ain't like yer dad's '57 Chevy ! No kits left for years.:distrust:

I do hope i'm wrong, but anyone needing a VF top end rebuild had better begin looking for another bike.......

    I wish I still had MY '55 210 2dr post. LT1, roller everything, balanced/blueprinted, TH400, 4.10 12 bolt.....had to sell her for a house.

Guess I'll just get on the phone with wiseco, pretty sure they can scurry up something.

Not sure if the top end is necessary. Front right exhaust port was wet when I took the motor out, could be leaky guides. After I finish the build I'll need to disassemble again anyway for powdercoating. Would only make sense to go through the motor & remove any doubt. Top end, valve lap, guides & seals won't be too much of an issue while it's out.....

I see that megacycle has some pretty sweet cam kits available, basically 3 stages available from stock.
