    Hey all,

Just curious, does anyone know of a service that rents tools like brake bleeders, chain cutters, riveters, etc...?

I got a $60 brake bleeder and $10 valve clearance tool that I'll maybe use once every 2 years. Just seems kinda silly having all those tools hanging around.

Would anyone be up to a sort of tool swap/rental in this forum? That could save us all some cash and some space in the garage.

It's funny how that is with tools. I always justify by thinking "I've blown a hundred buck in worse ways than this". Having the right tool for the job pays for itself over and over.

My local shop loans out a chain breaker/riveter for $10.

I actually used a grinder to get my chain off. Sparks are more bad-ass than a tool pushing a rivet out...:rambo:

Brake bleeders are pretty over the top, though. I found that gravity works just fine for me. And it's free.
