I removed my tool kit and was going to check it out for missing tools. Man,what a shock. Only thing I had in the pouch was a spanner wrench and an extension for it. Called the dealer and he said that was all that they put in the later models.
Has anyone else gotten a better tool kit or is he correct? Kind of a rotten way for Honda to save a buck.

The 5th gen tool kit is apparently the most well stocked.

Heck, it's a Honda. We don' need no steenkin' tool kit. If you don't tour, don't worry about it unless you plan on using the tool kit for maint. I think the only thing I've ever used out of mine was the spanner wrench. I quit carrying mine when I ran out of room under the seat.

    Thanks Jason Smith.
Followed your link and found a part number for a tool kit for a 2004 VFR and ordered it. Like 56.00 plus freight.I plan on doing a lot of long distance riding in Colorado and would be more comfortable with a good tool kit.

my 06 cbr tool kit had only one allen wrench in it, That was to take off the bodywork.

But YOu need 2 different ones to take the bodywork off, and just to get to the toolkit, you have to take off the right side fairing.

Honda said thats all they come with.

I'll have to agree with JS... My tool kit on my 05' had all the tools pictured in the thread he linked too. I think you should go back and get your kit. I have heard that there are 2 different kits available  but that might just be interwebz garbage.

Went to Honda Direct Line and found that 2005 was the last year that you got a full tool kit. You guys that got a full tool kit with the 2006 and later got lucky.
