The most beautiful day of this last 10 days, and what a ride at PCH.there were literary hundreds of bikes riding today. I realized Red Ferraris and Red Converable Porsche s have some sympathy with My VFR.
well it is all about wind in your face and hairs,Freedom and Power.

Nice pics - was this your first extended ride on the new bike? What are your thoughts? Great riding weather here as well this weekend with highs in the 80s and not a cloud in the sky - I need to get a convertible!

I'm really curious about the 8th Gens--they look great.

^ they're just a newer version of a 5th gen with a 6th gen engine. They're not bad now since they brought the price down to be respectable.

it was my first ride in a such a big group on this bike,, since i bought this red bike in November i have been riding 1-2 hours weekends only, but mostly solo, i have not found any riders group yet. have been riding since 1979, but this is first VFR, first 2-3 times it was scary since it seemed too fast compared to my other bikes(the very last one was a aero 750 and before that ninja 250, honda xl, suzuki x7, suzuki ts 250 , suzuki ts 125,honda CG125, kawasaki zzr, suzuki ts 80,suzuki GS1000),having sed that I am feeling more comfortable every day and i am loving it(him/her)more and more each day. for zero to 60 absolutely there is no match for it even R1, since we did challenge each other this weekend.kawi zxr14 or hayabusa or H1 are faster, but they are different category.
this is the best bike for money and no one will regret getting this generation as they are under 500lbs and vtach, it is a honda so reliability is high and authorized dealership and experienced mechanics at every 10 miles.
overall it is a good bike,
    Ride safe

Thanks for your comments. Yes according to zeroto60times.com the 8th gen is tied with the R1 up through '12MY at 3.0 sec. An incredible feat considering the huge weight disparity! It's also 0.4 sec quicker to 60 than the '98 5th gen and '02 6th gen according to the same site. However, the next year they have listed, the '15 R1, drops a few tenths below 3.0. And of course the quarter mile is no contest with any R1. But at street legal speeds the VFR can definitely put a big smile on your face and you can do it far more comfortably than on an R1.
