It doesn't happen often, but today was that magical day that reminds me of California. Perfect temperature, and perfect conditions. We did 200mi of mostly back roads plus a ferry ride to wrap it up.

SOMEBODY has spent time in the area. This day was the perfect mash up of getting out of Hampton and into the beautiful side of the state. Technically the title is misleading because we spent some of the day in NC where there was a noticeable drop in road quality.

Is that the James Town ferry? You're right about the weather there in the summer; wicked hot and humid. I grew up in Richmond, didn't mind it as a kid but now with a/c everywhere I think it would take some getting used to.

You sir are correct! We rode all day in NC then up towards Suffolk and the Norfolk side of the water before riding the Jamestown ferry and shooting 64 back to Hampton.

you and I are very opposite- I typically despise people from texas. I think the world is pretty awesome if you take the time to look at it from different perspectives and texans usually have that "my state is better than everywhere else" thing that always drives me mad. I've traveled all over the world- there is a silver lining to every location.

Also, Pittsburg fans are almost as bad.

To each their own... I lived there and I absolutely cant stand the attitude of the people on the eastside of 95 to past Richmond to include DC. (lived in all three areas). West side of that the people are very pleasant . Your experience of Texans must be from the Dallas side. Houstonians seem to me straight and on the level (along with Austinens) To to be perfectly honest the best people I have ever been around are the ones from Baton Rouge. Well enough of the state bashing/praiseing. Keep the rubber on the road and post more reports with pics.... We love pics here.

My experience is mostly with everybody I've ever met that didn't live in texas and wouldn't stop talking about how much better texas is that their current location. I have been to texas a few times and really enjoyed the area! I just can't stand texans that can't move on I guess. I'm all about pics! Go check out my build thread for the tail section- plenty of pics over there.

Yep add me to that list.... Bought in and sold on to be a Texan... Although I still cheer the Redskins.... I have checked out the pics of you bike but in all honesty I saw your bike last month when I was in VA (see VFR sighting thread)...Looks really good and made me jealous that I wasn't able to have my bike there at the time.

That is awesome thanks for the shout out. I think the tail was at its earlier stages a month ago- not sure which stage you saw. On the location thing- I am looking forward to getting orders out of here. Hoping for Phoenix az or Salt lake ut for my next location.
