Dunlop Q2 tires - Long term feedback welcome

So I found myself in need of a new front tire and I proceeded to do some searching on this and other motorcyle sites. What I found was LOTS of opinions, but not a lot of long term reviews with really good "empirical" data. Then I came across the review below on another forum.

Dunlop Q2 Review by Gary J - BMW S1000RR Forums: BMW Sportbike Forum

I was speaking with my local CycleGear "dude", who rides an Aprilia TuonoR. He is totally happy with his Q2 front, it has life left in it and has about 7000 miles on it. I realize that is not sport touring rubber, but that seems like a LOT of miles for a track ready tire. I ride shorter, in-town distances and on my local mountain roads. I don't put a ton of miles on the bike, but my roads can get "messy" and maximum grip is #1 in my book. The feedback online and in-store convinced me. I had them spoon on a Q2 front and it cost me $145 mounted. I don't mind spending that kind of money every couple of years, for the best traction around. I will try to care and feed this thread as I live with the tire.

Maybe I just didn't know how to search well enough to get lots of good, long term tire feedback. Nonetheless, I will add this thread to the library anyway and I think it would be great if more of us could create threads with long term feedback on tires.

Re Dunlop Q2s I found when riding twisties in the dry even at 65f and above they worked brilliantly, fast linear turnin and secure feel when at full lean. What I didn't like about them was their nervous squirm and random step out at 54f or colder temps on a wet winding roads. I'd never suffered these squirms or slips on my previous R2s in similar conditions so have gone to Michelin R3s. I understand the newer Dunlop Sportsmarts warm up quicker and grip better on wet roads so may consider them next.

I'll keep an eye on temps and report back.
